MAX to air live India, Lanka charity match

MUMBAI: MAX can't seem to get enough of cricket. Barely have the Indian team been able to get back home and recover from the drubbing they received at the hands of the all conquering Aussies in Sunday's finals of the World Cup, they're all set to get togged up again. And it will be shown live on MAX.
MAX is telecasting live a charity one-day international day- night cricket match between India and Sri Lanka, organised by the Lata Mangeshkar Medical Foundation on Saturday, 29 March.
The match will feature invitation elevens from India and Sri Lanka. India's full-strength team will be led by captain Sourav Ganguly. The day-night match will be played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
The match has been organised to help raise funds for the Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Center Pune. Lata Mangeshkar was quoted in an official release as saying: "The Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital is in memory of my late father, and through it our mission is to help and serve the poor and needy who cannot afford expensive medical treatment for dreaded diseases like cancer. I am truly thankful to all the players of both the teams who have so graciously agreed to play for this cause."
