MUMBAI: Shortly after signing a deal with Disney to distribute its channels in India, the Rupert Murdoch owned broadcaster Star has renewed a multi-year agreement with Disney's content distributor Buena Vista International Television Asia Pacific (BVITV-AP)
Star Movies will continue to air the latest releases from Disney, Touchstone and Miramax across Asia. These include Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, The Village, Starsky and Hutch and Cold Mountain
Star COO Steve Askew said, "Disneys blockbusters have a renowned mass appeal to movie lovers. Renewing the partnership with Disney reaffirms Star Movies leadership position in delivering premium content to viewers across Asia and I believe it will further drive viewing to the channel.".
