• Exset appoints Gary Ellis as chief technology officer

    MUMBAI: Exset, the broadcast technology pioneers of pay-TV ecosystems for emerging markets, has appointed Gary Ellis as its Chief Technology Officer with immediate effect.

    Ellis has over thirty years‘ experience in the television business and most recently was Director of Technology for Seachange International/Events.

    Exset CEO Alex Borland said, "We are delighted that Gary Ellis has joined our team and with his wealth of experience in this field, we know he‘s the right person to take our business forward."

    Ellis commented, "I‘m looking forward to working with Exset, providing viable solutions for pay-TV in emerging markets.

    The challenge is to facilitate the creation of pay-TV systems that are suitable for the majority of the population, not just the elite. This requires an innovative approach to monetisation, which is Exset‘s core rationale."

    During his career to date Ellis has worked at senior levels on system and product architecture, product design and strategy. His roles include Director of Solutions Architecture at Microsoft Mediaroom, Director of TV Solutions for NTL and Engineering Manager at Abekas Video Systems.
