    MUMBAI: Movies Now has announced a special lineup on Republic Day to celebrate glory and action.

    The channel will air a special property ?Badge of Courage? from 9 am to 9 pm in which it will air movies like Iron Man, True Lies, Knight and Day, Quantum of Solace and Demolition Man.

    ?Badge of Courage? is powered by Coco-Cola and in association with HDFC Life.

    Iron Man is an action-packed take on the tale of wealthy philanthropist Tony Stark essayed by Robert Downey Jr. who develops an invulnerable robotic suit to fight the throes of evil.

    True Lies is one of the biggest hits of the 90?s starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, seen as a secret agent for the United States Government and Jamie Lee Curtis as his wife.

    Meanwhile, Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer Knight and Day is a thriller which will be followed by the Daniel Craig?s fast paced Bond thriller Quantum of Solace.

    Lastly, the channel will air Sylvester Stallone?s classic, Demolition Man where he plays a no-nonsense cop who is brought out of his man-made stupor in prison to pursue an old enemy in a non-violent future society.

    MUMBAI: English movie channel Movies Now will kick off the year with a slew of new programming blocks. The properties include ?Grandmasters? and ?Sons of Guns? along with some comedy in the form of ?Crack it up?.

    The ?Crack It Up? comedy block is airing Monday ? Friday at 7 pm with movies like ?Dude Where?s my Car?, ?Austin Powers? and ?Hangover.

    The ?Grandmasters? block looks at Kung Fu?s greatest personalities like Bruce Lee in ?Enter the Dragon?, Jackie Chan in ?Rush Hour 2, the Wushu champion Jet Li in ?Legend of The Red Dragon?. This airs on Thursdays at 9 pm.

    Another programming block is ?Sons of Guns? which wil focus on charismatic movie stars who are also bad boys like Will Smith, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Colin Farrell and Bradley Cooper. Films like ?Bad Boys?, ?S.W.A.T?, ?Oceans 11? will air
    from 18 January, every Friday at 9 pm.

    ?Badge of Courage? is there to celebrate the 64nd Republic Day. The films tell stories of strength, courage and determination. ?Iron Man?, ?True Lies?, ?Knight and Day?, ?Quantum of Solace?, ?Demolition Man? and ?Robocop? will air on a 12 hour block from 9 am ? 9 pm on 26 January 2013.

    MUMBAI: To celebrate Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, English movie channel Movies Now brings its viewers the ?Best of Leo? in association with Asian Paints, a film festival showcasing some of his best works every Friday at 9 pm.

    ?Inception?, ?Blood Diamond?, ?The Departed?, ?Titanic?, ?Body Of Lies? and ?Man in the Iron Mask? will air on the channel.

    With a career span spreading over two decades, Leonardo has grown from being a shy teenage chocolate hero to a courageous star, who gets into the skin of any character that he plays. After starting off as a commercial actor, over the past decade, Leonardo has moulded himself into a character actor who brings to life every emotion that his role demands.

    The actor has an impressive timeline from being the 18-year-old Jack Dawson who falls in love with a girl on a ship and sacrifices his life for her in Titanic to Dom Cobb, the absolute best skilled thief who steals valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state in ?Inception?.

    He also played Danny Archer - a diamond smuggler at the time of the civil war in ?Blood Diamond? for which he got an Oscar nomination. He also worked with Martin Scorsese on several films including the Oscar winner ?The Departed?.

    MUMBAI: English movie channel movies Now will celebrate the festive season with all the 22 James Bond movies.

    Movies? Now?s initiatives coincide with 007 celebrating its 50th anniversary and the world waiting for the release of ?Skyfall? on 1 November.

    Bond has been played by Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. The 22 film series have grossed over $4 billion worldwide, making it the highest grossing franchisee ever.

    The property will be supported with a marketing blitz and will be promoted on television, digital, Caf? Coffee Day, Cinema activation and through various tie ups. In an association with James Bond latest blockbuster that releases in cinemas ?Skyfall?, Visit Britain and Raddison Blu, Edwardian London viewers a chance to vote for their favourite bond and live the Bond LifestyLe in London.

    Winners will get the opportunity to stay at the Radsisson Blu, Edwardian London, visit The Aston Martin Headquarters in Warwickshire, they will also get a private tour of the Royal Naval College where ?Skyfall? was filmed. They will also get to see and visit the National Gallery and O2 which is one of the most popular entertainment venues of the world.

    TV will spearhead the marketing launch of the property with over 2000 ?All The Bonds? spots broadcast across the top TV networks in the country. Keeping in line with the strategy of engaging digital audiences Movies Now will engage with over 1.8 million fans on its Facebook page through the contest, besides Facebook various websites with high traffic will be leveraged to promote the mega gratification as well.

    Viewers can now access the contest on their fingertips. Mobile banners on the best apps will ensure maximisation of entries.   • Movies Now announces lineup for Dusshera

    MUMBAI: In order to celebrate Dusshera, English movie channel Movies Now will have an initiative ?Victory Over Evil? on 24 October from noon.

    The initiative starts with ?The A-Team? which is about team of former Special Forces soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going "rogue," they utilise their unique talents to try and clear their names and find the true culprit.

    Next is ?Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief?, the story of a teenager who discovers he‘s the descendant of a Greek god, a demi-god who?s half mortal, half immortal and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods.

    Based on the fantasy series by Rick Riordan, the movie artfully turns a tale of Greek gods interacting with humans into a fast-paced adventure saga. The movie imparts key information integrally. The result is wholesome and light-hearted fun inspiring young audiences to explore classic Greek myths.

    Then ?Predators?, which goes back to the Predator universe, and has Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who leads a group of elite warriors who come to realise they?ve been brought together on an alien planet as prey.

    When the predators become the prey, fearless mercenary Royce (Adrien Brody) prepares for the fight of his life. The movie has action, adventure, sci-fi, and thriller, all packed in one.

    Martial Arts fans can check out ?Ip Man 2? - a semi-biographical film on the life of Ip Man, who is living under the iron fist of the British colonial rule. In the movie, Ip Man attempts to propagate his discipline of Wing Chun, but faces rivalry from other practitioners.

    The last film is ?Spider-Man 3?.
