    MUMBAI: Reliance Home Video & Games has released the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don 2 on Home Video.

    Having conquered the Asian underworld, Don (Khan) now has his sights set on European domination. In his way are the bosses of the existing European underworld and all law enforcement agencies.

    The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, in order for his plan to succeed.

    Presented by Excel Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment Don 2 is an action crime film directed by Farhan Akhtar and co-written by him along with Ameet Mehta and Amrish Shah.

    The film is a sequel to the 2006 film Don: The Chase Begins Again and also stars Priyanka Chopra, Om Puri, Lara Dutta and Kunal Kapoor. Hrithik Roshan appears in a cameo appearance.

    Don 2 went on to break multiple box-office records in India and overseas, including highest opening day grosser ever on a non-holiday Friday and the highest grossing Bollywood film overseas in 2011.

    The film has been specially re-edited for the Home Video format and includes footage not seen in the theatrical version.

    The DVD comes in a special two disc edition offering bonus material which provides the viewer with insight into making of the film. The DVD also contains an exclusive music video for Mujhko Pehchaan Lo track.

    The film is available on Blu-ray for Rs.799, DVD Rs.299 and VCD Rs.115 each.

    MUMBAI: New Marathi film ?Jhakaas? screens in 110 UFO digital theatres in the first week of release. New film ?Kya Yehi Sach Hai? screens in 30 UFO digital theatres in Week 1. Shah Rukh Khan starrer ?Don 2? (Hindi 2D and 3D, Tamil and Telugu) screens in 845 UFO digital theatres in Week 2. ?The Dirty Picture? continues its strong run in 110 UFO digital theatres in its fifth week. `Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl? is in 53 UFO digital theatres and ?Lanka? is in 14 UFO digital theatres in Week 4.

    Tamil film `Rajapattai? screens in 99 UFO digital theatres in Week 2. Telugu film `Rajanna? screens in 94 UFO digital theatres in Week 2. New film `Veedinthe? (dubbed in Telugu) screens in 78 UFO theatres in Week 1. New Telugu film ?Kshetram? screens in 61 UFO digital theatres in Week 1.

    In terms of upcoming films, it is expected that the much anticipated ?Agneepath? starring Sanjay Dutt and Hrithik Roshan will release in about 1200 plus UFO cinemas.

  • Sony acquires audio rights of Agneepath

    MUMBAI: Sony Music Entertainment has acquired the audio rights of Dharma Productions? Hrithik Roshan,Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt-starrer Agneepath.

    Commenting on the acquisition of Agneepath?s music rights, Sony Music India Marketing Director Sanujeet Bhujabal said, "Sony Music is proud to be associated with Dharma Productions cult classic Agneepath. The six new songs of this film are not only original and refreshing but also soulful and unforgettable. This is our 11th venture with Dharma and it?s always a matter of pride and a great experience to work with them. The soundtrack is varied and we expect a great response from music enthusiasts."

    Agneepath is one of the much awaited movies of 2012 and a great addition to the growing repertoire of Sony Music. To reach out to music lovers with the six rocking chartbusters from the film, Sony Music will first release Chikni Chameli digitally on December 12, the digital album will be available on December 16 while the physical release will be on December 19 across key retail outlets.

    The soundtrack features voices like Sonu Nigam, Roop Kumar Rathod & Shreya Ghoshal with the highlight being a sizzling dance number Chikni Chameli filmed on Katrina Kaif.

    Karan Malhotra?s remake of this cult classic comes alive with sensational musical compositions by musical duo Ajay-Atul.

    Kabir (Abhay Deol) plans a bachelor road trip to Spain with his high school friends ? Imraan (Farhan Akhtar) and Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), where each one gets to pick an adventure sport for the trio to perform and live life to the fullest.

    Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara grossed Rs.108 crores at the box office within 10 days of its release. It has garnered an impressive gross collection of Rs. 52.50 crores worldwide in the opening weekend and is the highest grossing Hindi film of 2011 in the overseas markets.
