MUMBAI: The third season of MasterChef US is set to air exclusively on Star World from 7 May at 9.00 pm. The show marks the return of reality shows to the channel?s prime time slot as it replaces Australian family drama Packed to the Rafters.

The franchise was originally created by Franc Roddam for UK in 1990. The show?s format was revised by BBC in 2005 and is currently being produced with the same MasterChef logo in 35 countries.

The show will continue with culinary perfectionist judge and chef Gordon Ramsay, making it even more challenging for the contestants this season to impress and survive. Alongside will be restaurateur and wine maker, Joe Bastianich and celebrated chef Graham Elliot, who return this season to judge the show Gordon.
 
This time around the show features a good mix of contestants ranging from a stock broker to an emergency physician, an opera singer and a plastic surgeon vying for the MasterChef US title. In the midst of the pandemonium, MasterChef US features its first ever blind contestant, Christine Ha, who believes that food and words are her creative portals and is sure to leave one inspired with her culinary skill and love for what she does.

The show will continue to be aired exclusively on Star World at the prime time slot, as has been the case for the previous two seasons as well.
