    MUMBAI: The 2009 FIM MotoGP World Championship enters this weekend with fierce competition amongst the riders as only sixteen points separate the top 3. And whoever wins the Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland will sit pretty on top of the world championship at the middle of the racing calendar. Ten Sports will bring all the action live.

    Teammate Jorge Lorenzo left Laguna Seca battered and bruised for the second consecutive year, although he was able to maintain pressure on Rossi with third place in the race. Alongside his points haul, Lorenzo also took a dislocated collarbone and a foot injury away and will not be hundred percent fit in Germany.

    Third placed Casey Stoner is also under the weather suffering from Anemia. The Australian has been battling with illness for over a month but he?s still in the title hunt 16 points adrift of Rossi.

    Honda?s Dani Pedrosa, ended a long drought for both himself and Honda with a win at the Red Bull Grand Prix at the Laguna Seca in California. The Spanish Repsol Honda star?s 2008 season took an ugly turn when he crashed at Sachsenring last year. This happened when he was leading the wet race and the World Championship.

    Sete Gibernau, whose Grupo Francisco Hernando team has pulled out of the series due to financial difficulties is the only team that will be missing from the grid.
