This week BBC World’s Bollywood Bosses provides a unique look at director Mahesh Bhatt’s films and his persona, featuring interviews with actors Anupam Kher, Emraan Hashmi and Bhatt’s producer-brother Mukesh Bhatt.

The episode will be aired on 29 January at 10 pm and will be repeated on 30 January at 12 pm.

In a career spanning 31 years, Bhatt has written and erased many rules as a filmmaker. If his name is now synonymous with the splurge of skin flicks such as Jism and Murder, it also brings back memories of his critically acclaimed films like the autobiographical Arth and the thought provoking Saraansh.

Bollywood Bosses profiles some of Bollywood’s top directors, examining the methods of filmmaking adopted by these well-known directors and presents a behind-the-scenes view into the glitz and glamour of Bollywood.
