Inmarsat the Total Communications Network has appointed Paul Griffith to the position of vice president, Portfolio Development and Marketing, replacing Paul Branch who has retired. Previously director of business evolution at Inmarsat, Griffith has 13 years experience in the telecommunications sector.
In his new role, he will head the development and management of Inmarsat's ever-growing portfolio of mobile satellite solutions including the Inmarsat regional BGAN service launched in November 2002
Griffith said: "Despite tough economic conditions, the telecommunications sector is an exciting place to be in, especially the mobile space. Only organisations that are offering and developing - innovative, customer-driven solutions will enhance their market presence. Inmarsat, with its partner base, is well placed to do just that, providing reliable, high-speed cost effective solutions via satellite to businesses of all sizes and across a variety of industry sectors."
Prior to Inmarsat, Griffith held a number of senior, pan-European and global roles covering product management, product development, marketing, corporate strategy and business development at Datapoint (a full-service, professional services organisation), FirstMark Communications Limited (a broadband wireless operation) and British Telecom.
