MUMBAI: It will be server permanently down for the newspapertoday.com (TNT), the online newspaper from the India Today group, from 1 November 2002.

A notice cites the fact that the paid subscriber-driven online newspaper proved an unviable business proposition as the reason for closing down the site.

India Today Group Online has decided to merge its news operations with the group's mother site, the online version of India Today, from 1 November 2002, it adds.

The India Today Group Online has offered two options to its subscribers; they could either claim their unused subscription value or opt for access to either India Today or Business Today with the same Subscriber ID and password for the remaining period of their subscription time.
