Chandamama to talk online in five regional languages

MUMBAI: Chandamama, the Indian children‘s magazine, has launched interactive children-friendly portals in Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu and Kannada.

The portal is a blend of the magazine‘s traditional content including Vikram & Vetal, Indian mythological stories and contemporary information on science and world.

The two important aspects on the websites are ‘archives‘ which will aid readers to browse old issues of the magazine and ‘shop‘ that will allow users to subscribe and purchase Chandamama products through the online shop.

"We have launched the websites in regional languages to meet two important objectives. For children to experience their favorite Chandamama stories on the Internet in their native language and also help loyal readers enjoy the magazine‘s content online to re-live those old memories," says Chandamama executive director Prashant Mulekar.
