MUMBAI: Wellness and lifestyle network, Veria TV, has joined the high definition lineup of Dish Network, a subsidiary of Dish Network Corporation.
Veria TV‘s HD service is available on Ch. 218 as part of Dish Network‘s America‘s Top 250 package or America‘s Everything Pack.
Veria TV general manager Hal Rosenberg said, "Veria TV‘s Dish Network viewers now have the opportunity to see our library -- a large collection of wellness programs in the world -- in high definition, the way they were meant to be enjoyed.”
Added Dish Network programming SVP Dave Shull, "Health and wellness are becoming increasingly important topics in the
U.S., and Dish Network is pleased to offer Veria TV in HD, a channel that offers a variety of food, fitness, travel, reality and lifestyle programming."
In a separate development, New York City-based channel distribution company Asia TV USA announced the appointment of Suresh Bala Iyer as its chief executive officer.
At Asia TV, Iyer will drive the future of Veria TV, currently on Verizon FIOS and Dish, and Zee Channels (Zee TV, Zee Cinema, Ten Cricket and Alpha ETC Punjabi), catering to the expanding South Asian audience in the US.
