MUMBAI: News channel France 24 has signed a new distribution agreement with a mobile operator in Brazil, Tim Brazil.
 
This allows the French version to be available in the operator‘s new offer, Tim TV.
Available in every Brazilian state, 300 000 subscribers to the TIM TV offer can now get free access to France 24 throughout the country. 
 
France 24‘s VP worldwide distribution Philippe Rouxel said, "This agreement with TIM BRASIL is another major step towards a wider presence in Latin America. TIM BRASIL is a major mobile operator through whom we hope to enhance our expansion throughout the region."
Available free-to-air in South America on Intelsat 9 since 2010 and on CablePlus in Uruguay since March 2011, this new agreement reflects France 24‘s desire to increase its distribution in the region and its expansion across Latin America.
