Conax in pact with Brazilian cable TV operator SimTV

MUMBAI: Global security provider Conax has entered into a contract with Brazilian cable TV operator SimTV. Under the pact, Conax will deliver a high-end content protection solution for SimTV‘s cable TV service and offer guidance for the digitisation of the operator‘s 16 remote sites throughout the country.

In the new offering, Conax security-evaluated client devices from Jiuzhou will be deployed on the SimTV platform.

SimTV, a leading player in the Brazilian market, offers an exciting bouquet of programmes and services. Owned by BandTV (Grupo Bandeirantes Communications), SimTV‘s Canal 17 already serves about 50 municipalities and covers a population of 1,101,175 million households providing a market with key growth opportunities.
