Warner Home Video has won the Grand prix du Jury at The 2nd MIPCOM DVD Awards ceremony held today at the MIPCOM venue for Autant en emporte le vent, the french release of the evergreen classic Gone With The Wind. The awards were organised in partnership with the DVD Association (DVDA, USA) and the International Video Federation (IVF, Belgium).
This year saw the number of categories go up from seven to ten, the new categories being Sports, Music and Games.
Amongst the striking things about the awards ceremony was some outstandingly funnyily irreverent hosting by British Comedian Julian Clary and some rocking numbers by Dutch band Werring. Making jokes on all of the jury members and presenters, Julian had the audience in splits.
