MUMBAI: Jio Studios’ new motion logo reflects a balance of innovation and cultural identity. For White Turtle Studios, part of the Trailer Park group, the project was an opportunity to design a symbol rooted in Indian culture with a global perspective.

White Turtle Studios works across OTT, cinema, sports, gaming, and experiential design. In 2024, it worked on campaigns such as Netflix’s Heeramandi, The Kapil Sharma Show, and Prime Video’s Citadel, along with the branding project for Jio Studios.

The motion logo begins with a spark, representing an idea, transforms into the word Jio, and transitions into a mandala, reflecting Indian cultural richness. It ends with a golden lotus, symbolising purity, renewal, and creative excellence, linked to Brahma, the creator in Indian mythology. The design aligns with Jio Studios’ aim to showcase Indian storytelling globally.

“We wanted the logo to stand for something meaningful. We knew we wanted to celebrate Indian stories and Indian storytellers. White Turtle Studios has done an incredible job, and I hope this logo remains for years to come,” said Jio Studios CEO Jyoti Deshpande.

Tamagna Ghosh of Trailer Park Group said, “At Trailer Park Group, our vision is to blend global creativity with local culture. The Jio Studios logo combines intricate Indian design with innovative aesthetics.”

Ankit Bhatia, who contributed to the design, added, “The Jio Studios logo reflects India’s cultural diversity while connecting with audiences globally. Our goal was to translate the brand’s ethos into a meaningful creative expression.”

White Turtle Studios, which has received awards like Clio and the Asian Academy Creative Awards, plans to expand its work in gaming, experiential marketing, and regional content. The studio remains focused on integrating local storytelling with global standards.
