MUMBAI: Oscar Winning Documentary, Smile Pinki, will be telecast on Doordarshan National Network on Sunday 15th November, 2009 at 9.30 am. A touching story of a little girl born with a cleft lip. The documentary takes the viewers to Pinki?s life in a remote hamlet in eastern Uttar Pardesh. The true story traces Pinki?s life from a cleft lip to a beautiful smile. Pinki is a mascot for millions of children across the world who are waiting to smile.
Award winning director Megan Mylan has created a wonderful film which captures all the tragedy, desperation, poverty, emotion, fear, relief and hope that are a part of the smile train patients journey a global charity committed to correcting cleft lip and palate.
