MUMBAI:Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has named Info Edge India co-founder and CEO Hitesh Oberoi as its new chairman and Microsoft Corporation joint MD Hemant Sachdev as vice-chairman.
 
Oberoi will be taking over from Google India MD Shailesh Rao, while Sachdev replaces eBay India country manager Ambareesh Murty.

Oberoi said,“The digital industry is at an inflection point and is growing steadily. IAMAI, which has been working persistently towards the growth of the medium, is also growing. We plan to engage more closely with the government to ensure that the online industry registers a balance growth in the years to come and the internet user base widens.”
 
Yatra.com founder and CEO Dhruv Shringi is the new Treasurer. He will take over from IRCTC director-tourism Nalin Shinghal.
