BBC launches apps for Teletubbies

MUMBAI: BBC Worldwide has announced that ‘In the Night Garden‘ and ‘Teletubbies: My First App!‘ are available now on the App Store for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

The apps encourage young children and adults to interact together with the brands in an entirely new way, and with a specifically tailored game design, they are fun and stimulating to play.

The ‘In the Night Garden‘ app allows young fans of the show to meet their favourite characters and explore the enchanting world of In the Night Garden.

Featuring many of the locations from the show including the Stepping Stone Path, the Daisy Patch, Makka Pakka‘s Cave and the Tombliboo Bush, ‘In the Night Garden‘ will transport pre-school children to the magical world of the TV show.

Players are able to dance with their favourite characters, play counting games with the Pontipines or help Upsy Daisy catch her bed, taking into account all the favourite elements of the much loved show.

‘Teletubbies: My First App!‘ is an interactive world of discovery and play which features all the characters from the TV show - Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Po and even Noo-noo, along with the original music and voices. There are a range of exciting games to play; Tubby Hello/Bye Bye, Tubby Custard, Musical Hills and Running, and with the games tailored to the child‘s level of engagement, it‘s just as fun across a range of ages.

With a dedicated ‘Parent‘s Zone‘ that allows parents to customise the app specifically for their children, including length of play and access to other content, ‘Teletubbies: My First App!‘ is reassuringly secure as well as great fun.

BBC Worldwide executive VP, digital entertainment Robert Nashak said, "We‘re delighted to offer our youngest fans an opportunity to engage with Teletubbies and In the Night Garden in a brand new way. With the unique style in which children of all abilities can play and learn with their favourite characters, we hope parents and toddlers alike will love the apps as much as we do."
