Former test great Gundappa Viswanath is being featured on Harsha Online - the interactive one-hour programme presented by Harsha Bhogle.
The show will be aired on Monday, March 11 at 10:30 pm on Star Sports features the man who was called the genius when at work between the 22-yard wicket, an official release states. Viswanath was acclaimed by the connoisseurs as the master of square cut.
Viswanath scored 6,080 runs at an average of 41.93 with 14 centuries to his credit during an illustrious test career. He made 87 consecutive Test appearances between 1970-71 and 1982-83 and was the first Indian to score a century against all opponents then.
Vishwanath or "Vishy" to his friends, is also the sixth Indian to record a century in his first Test. In November 1969 he played his debut test at Kanpur and scored 137 runs in the second innings after having been dismissed for a duck in the first innings!
