The Atari-Wagah border near Amritsar is one sector of the Indo-Pak border that has been the centre of attention over many years. Jai Jawan travels to this popular and historic region to create history once again. After portraying many roles as an Indian Army officer, India's superstar Khan gets a taste of the real thing as he visits the jawans and soldiers of the Indian Army posted in this sector.
The show is anchored by NDTV news anchor and journalist Barkha Dutt will begin at the historic Atari-Wagah border where Dutt talks about the significance of the location and introduces Khan to the jawans, says a company release.
Khan joined the jawans in their barracks as they unwind for the day, even tried out his hand in an indoor firing range used for training commandos.
Shahrukh met 500 jawans, sang songs from his films and danced to tunes of his popular numbers. Emotions run high as jawans later listen to messages from their families back home.
While the Sikh regiment belts out a Punjabi song accompanied by a vibrant bhangra performance, Shahrukh will be swinging with the group thereby bringing the evening to an energetic end, adds the release.
