MUMBAI: After months of high-octane campaigning and controversies, the D-day deciding the fate of over 8000 candidates who participated in Lok Sabha 2019 elections of India, across 542 constituencies, is here.
The counting for the votes began early in the morning today and as per the early trends, till 11:30 am, ruling party BJP seems set to make a massive comeback as the central power. The party is currently leading with 291 seats.
Prime Minister Modi is leading his seat, in Varanasi, as well.
Opposition party Indian National Congress has gained 50 seats till now. All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) is in the third position, with 24 seats.
