In a deft move, Modi Entertainment Network, which currently distributes ESPN, Hallmark and Kermit in India, has gone ahead and signed a distribution agreement with B4U - the music service which started in the UK and has since then spread to the US, west Asia and will soon make a debut in India.
B4U is additionally planning to launch a movie channel and has already content and distribution arrangments with music channel MCM and Fashion TV.
Apparently, Modi Entertainment pipped the Satellite Management Group at the the post. The latter which is distributing Deutschewelle TV and Sabe TV, had gone as far as concluding an arrangement with B4U. Contracts had been drawn up and all that was left was initialling them. Modi Entertainment stepped in and made a better offer which helped it clinch the deal.
