MUMBAI: Southern Spice (SS) Music channel has launched its last leg of The VJ Factor in Cochin which is the search for VJs for the new programming ideas on the channel.
The VJ hunts held at Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad were a roaring success. The next selection round is going to be held at Cochin. Since SS Music has a very good viewership among the youth in Kerala, a large number of youngsters are expected to participate in the VJ factor auditions in Cochin.
SS Music head of sales and marketing Nischal Kumtakar says, "The elimination rounds will commence on the 25 and 26 March with the finals slated for 27 March. There will be extensive road shows and placed promotional materials and registration forms will be made available at all locations like colleges, coffee shops, pubs, multiplexes, music stores, bookstores and other youth hangouts in Cochin. The television promotion of the VJ Factor is already on air on SS Music. Interested candidates can also look for details regarding the event in the print ads to be placed in the Cochin edition of the New Indian Express."
Kumtakar added, "This will be the last round of the VJ hunt and hence we expect it to be a tremendous success. We expect our new VJs to be in place by 14 April, right in time for us to start our new programmes for the Tamil New Year. This will also coincide with the third anniversary of our channel. The clients that have joined us recently and are closely working with us are Hero Honda, Nokia, Pepsi, Sand Piper, Tic Tac, ITC Foods, Mirinda, Pizza Hut, Motorola and others; and their association with the new programming initiatives is definitely bound to make our channel the most sought after."
