MUMBAI: Niret Alva, presenter of BBC World's car and bike show Wheels, has won the award for the 'Best Current Affairs or Infotainment Programme Presenter' at the Asian Television Awards.

Wheels is co-hosted by other presenters such as Navaz Sandhu who throw in a few sneak previews of prototypes in the car section with Niret Alva, while Paramangsu Mukherjee reviews the top bikes. Christopher Daruwalla talks on everything from road rules to car makeovers in the infotainment section.

Wheels is produced in Delhi for BBC World by Miditech Television. It is part of BBC World's dedicated strip of locally produced programmes made for broadcast in South Asia which include Mastermind India, Face to Face, Question Time India and India Business Report - broadcast at 10 pm every day.
