MUMBAI: AV EXPO 2003, which claims to be the country's largest audio visual exhibition commenced today at the Hotel Le Meridian in the garden city of Bangalore.
 
 
The event is being organised by Tata Infomedia a subsidiary of the $ 10 billion Tata Group. This is the first time Bangalore is witness to such an audio visual exhibition and will last till 22 June.

An official release informs that the event is a one-stop dais to witness hi-end AV products displayed by Audio Visual giants like Bose, B&W, Pro FX, Onkyo, Celestial, Epson, Toshiba, LG, Jamo, etc. The latest of technology and gadgets will be on display at the Expo between 10 am and 7:30 pm on all the days.

Tata Informedia's vice chairman and MD HS Billimoria said, "AV Expo 2003 has helped Tata Infomedia Limited to reiterate its stand on providing a complete feel of the latest technology in the Audio Visual industry to the tech-savvy consumers of today."

AV Expo is an annual event organised by Tata Infomedia's Special Interest Publication Division (SIPD), which publishes AV Max, one of the premier audio-visual magazines states the release.

Tata Infomedia GM SIPD Rahul Shah said, "The growing market for audio visual equipment in South India and the right kind of infrastructure in Bangalore has led us to organize such an event here.

"Our basic objective is to showcase the advanced features of hi-tech equipment to our end users. In pursuing this goal, AV Expo 2003 will be an opportunity for the exhibitors to carry out demonstrations in a real home environment."
