MUMBAI: It's Fashion TV's turn to act hurt now.
In a press statement issued on 28 May, Fashion TV president Michel Adam has said that the channel is considering options to press criminal and civil charges against Modi Entertainment Network president Lalit Modi for fraud, extortion, harrassment, copyright and trademark infringement in the next few days in Europe. 
In the meantime, says the statement put out by the channel's new India partner, Worldwide Channel, FTV has instructed the Panamsat 10 signals to be stopped, and that the Asiasat 2 FTA signal and the Eutelsat Hotbird 13 degrees are the only official signals available in India.
The agreement between MEN and FTV clearly states that the court of England is the relevant court, claims Adam in the statement. "As our agreement with Modi has been terminated, all commercial partners are advised not to enter into any agreement with Modi. All funds due from previous agreements should be sent to an escrow account, until the relevant courts decide," the statement reads.
Two days earlier, MEN had issued a statement saying that it has sued FTV in the Delhi High Court for violating its exclusive distribution and ad sales agreement with MEN. While the Modis are categorical that they are awaiting a Delhi court order next week, FTV insists that the matter could only be resolved in a UK court.
