CBBC‘s Cartoon Works to become new destination for short-form content

MUMBAI: UK Pubcaster the BBC‘s children‘s channel CBBC is expanding Cartoon Works, the online portal, with an aim to make it a new destination to premi?re short-form content from the UK animation industry.

CBBC has also commissioned the brand new animation series Muddle Earth that will be aired in 2010.

Shaun The Sheep, meanwhile, will return to the screen this autumn in a series of new exploits.

Says CBBC head of drama, animation and acquisition Steven Andrew, "CBBC is commissioning Muddle Earth, a mysterious and epic animated tale, as well as returning to the adventures of Shaun in a new series. We are also excited to expand Cartoon Works which will act as a creative cartoon playground for the UK animation industry."
