MUMBAI: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the production of the Justice League of America videogame, based on the DC Comics super heroes, for the Sony PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and Microsoft X; video game system.
The new videogame, set to release in August next year, will be a super hero action role-playing game.
"We are excited to announce a videogame that will bring the legendary super heroes of the Justice League of America to the next level for gamers. The innovative and highly engaging combat system in the Justice League of America game will capture the strength and appeal of the characters, offering players a tremendously fun and rewarding experience," said Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment senior vice president Jason Hall.
"The joy of the Justice League as a game is the chance to be your favorite characters and to interact with the rest of the team in the rich fantasy world of the DC universe," said DC Comics president and publisher Paul Levitz.
Featured super heroes will include Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Zatanna. Each super hero will possess unique super powers that are character-specific, creating a variety of fighting styles for players to utilize while battling the forces of evil.
Gamers will have the power to bring classic super heroes of the Justice League of America to life, customise their skills and engage in one-to-two player cooperative combat throughout interactive and destructible environments.
