MUMBAI: Sahara One, which has just launched a horror band at 11 pm, is now gearing up to strengthen its primetime fiction line up.

The channel has signed on Rajshri Productions to produce another fiction show, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga, at 9 pm band starting 27 February.

Earlier, Rajshri had produced family drama Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki for Sahara One.

Jhilmil Sitaaron? is a love story of Aakash and Angana who are raised in completely diverse backgrounds. Angana falls in love with an ordinary guy, Aakash, who, owing to his trusting and virtuous ways, gets tricked into becoming a Ghar-Jamaai in the Raichand household. Aakash will be played by Pankaj Tiwari, whereas Shreya Jha will portray Angana.

Sahara One Media and Entertainment Asst. director worker Suresh Mishra said, ?Working with everyone at Rajshri Productions has always been a pleasure. Kavita Barjatya was the force behind our earlier flagship show ?Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki? that garnered huge popularity and helped us scale bigger heights. We are confident that Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga will do even better and entertain the viewers well.?

Kavita Barjatya said, ?I forayed into the small screen in 2005 with Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki on Sahara One. Working with Sahara One is like working with family. The confidence they portray in me is impeccable and that is what makes working with them comfortable.?

?Jhilmil Sitaaron ka Aangan Hoga is a beautiful love story of Aakash and Angana, two ordinary individuals who have been raised in families with diverse backgrounds. They get married and then certain truths come to the surface that leaves their relationship in turbulent waters. The show is about their journey and how they change themselves for love. In Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Angan Hoga, we have also tried to add a new flavour to this family? where the head of the family is Mrs Raichand, who believes in getting Ghar Jamaai?s for her daughters. In our country, ?damaads? are given so much importance? so we thought let us try and bring in this angle to make a fresher family subject. We will try and give out a social message in an entertaining manner by using this angle too,? she added.

Mehra is known for directing comic TV series like Office Office and Shararat. He has recently produced the movie, Chala Mussaddi Office Office.
