• Suspense and Thrill on Indian Idol

Submitted by ITV Production on Jun 20, 2007

MUMBAI: The tension is palpable. The suspense is killing. It is the day of reckoning for the four contestants who made a dramatic comeback in the Wild Card Round. The fate of Indian Idol contestants Amit Paul, Ankita, Padmanabh and Suhit is about to be decided. The results of the viewers‘ poll is in. Find out who is in and who bids adieu tonight?

After having miffed Alisha Chinai in the last episode when he had retorted that love is not only blind but deaf too (when Alisha had praised the performance of her blue eyed boy Suhit) Javed Akhtar makes up with her by apologizing for his comment. It sets the tone for the rest of the episode. It‘s all about song and dance? and camaraderie. Watch the contestants come together to rock the floor with Salaame-E- Ishq.

Adding glamour and glitz to the evening is heart throb Zayed Khan whose association with the show goes back to the first season of Indian Idol when Zayed had come as a guest. He follows the show and finds that the singing talent is growing with each season. He has a word of advice for the contestants: the one who sings from the heart and with complete sincerity is bound to be a winner.

The people‘s verdict is in. But the judges need some more time. So the contestants perform a medley of songs. Richa and Jolly start off with ‘Main sadke jawaan‘ from the film Smita and Deepali follow with Baras ja ae badal baras ja?Prashant and Parleen do a delightful number with ‘Chain kulli ki main kulli‘.

So who are the lucky two contestants? The wait isn‘t over yet. The tension mounts and so does the tempo of the performances. A laugh riot follows with Emon, Pooja and Abhishek bringing the house down with their version of Ek chatur naar kar ke singaar ? from ‘Padosan‘ . Emon, a talented mimic, sings ‘Jaanu ke jaanu na‘? in the voice of Anu Malek which prompts Javed Akhtar to pass the verdict: "Anu sings well in the voice of Emon!" Not to be outdone, Abhishek does a take off on everybody‘s favourite Udit Narayan with the Devdas number ‘Chand chupa badal mein‘ which promptly has Udit joining the boys on stage with Kintu ‘parantu bandhu‘? Catch all the action tonight.

Finally the moment of truth is here. The result is out tonight at 9 p m on Indian Idol on Friday, 22 June only on Sony Entertainment Television.

  • Diana's Princes Bare Their Hearts on Hallmark Channel

Submitted by ITV Production on Jun 18, 2007

MUMBAI: Hallmark Channel will be the first in Asia (except Philippines) to air this exclusive interview where NBC New‘s Matt Lauer conducts a captivating and candid interview with Princes William and Harry.

It will be shown on Hallmark Channel on 19 June 2007 at 6:30pm - less than a day it first airs in US.

NBC News‘s Matt Lauer conducts a captivating and candid interview with Princes William and Harry during which the British royals discuss everything from their romantic relationships, to Harry‘s anticipated tour of duty in Iraq and the lasting legacy of their late mother, Princess Diana, as it approaches the tenth anniversary of her tragic death.

In their first ever American television interview, William and Harry are amazingly forthcoming and refreshingly free of protocol-no topic is off limits here-as they offer illuminating insight into what it‘s like to live under constant media scrutiny, and how that lack of privacy affects their relationships with friends, girlfriends and each other.

This August marks the tenth anniversary of the tragic death of their mother, Princess Diana. The Princes talked with Lauer about why they decided to honor their mother with a concert held in London on her July 1st birthday, how they will memorialize her on this anniversary, and the paths their lives have taken since her untimely death.

Among the topics discussed with the Princes are their thoughts on trying to lead a normal life-- what they remember of their mother and her challenge to do so, their feelings about the public‘s fascination with them, and how this affects all aspects of their personal lives.

Additionally, the Princes discuss their opinions of America, the fact that they have an image here, what they would do if they were not royalty, and what their childhood nicknames were.
