• Aadesh Shrivastav the first celebrity to go out on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2

Submitted by ITV Production on Oct 08, 2007

MUMBAI: There was tension in the air. But the mood changed to euphoria when two special guests made their surprise entry.Indian Idol winner Prashant Tamang along with Amit Paul as special guests on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa - Dancing with the Stars. They brought back memories of Indian Idol once again when the two took the stage and regaled the audience with songs they sang to live music from the band The Inner Voice.

Aadesh Shrivastav is a man who has hit tunes to his credit. But when it came to shaking a leg he was caught on the wrong foot and has now been declared the first celebrity contestant to be voted out of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa - Dancing with the Stars. It was the first elimination round and Aadesh may be the first to go, but it his to his credit that a man who has never ever danced in his life took up the challenge from his son to take part in the show. Despite his hectic work schedule where he is recording songs till unearthly hours of the night, being a celebrity judge on a musical show and with high temperature it is to his credit that he still made time for back breaking rehearsals. It came as no surprise to him that he was eliminated. "I am happy that I took part on the show and was able to shed my inhibitions and picked up a few dancing steps. I now intend to dance whenever I can!" he says with a smile. His only regret is that his choreographer Tina had to pay the price for his two left feet.

Tina, though reduced to tears at the elimination, had no regrets. She was happy to have found a brother in Aadesh. Tina, a self-taught dancer who has picked up the Latin American dance forms with watching CDs is a professional now and intends to go abroad to do a course in Therapy through Dance. "I am Psychology student. I truly believe that dance can heal body, mind and soul. After completing the course I want to come back to India and practice here."

Although Aadesh‘s departure brought a somber note to the show for the first time, the mood was lightened by some funny quips from the funny man. "I have applied for the post next!" he said. It sure helps to have Cyrus around.

But who goes out next remains to be seen, until then keep watching and voting for your favourite contestants.

Stay tuned to Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa - Dancing with the Stars every Friday and Saturday at 9 p m only on Sony Entertainment Television.
