• BIG 92.7 FM marks World AIDS day

    MUMBAI: On the occasion of World AIDS Day, BIG 92.7 FM, India?s first and Delhi?s ONLY 100 Chartbuster Station addressed the burgeoning issue of HIV/AIDS by living up to its signature brand line of Suno Sunao, Life Banao! In an innovative three-day awareness campaign, a team from BIG 92.7 FM Delhi came together to form the ?Topi Brigade? and took to the streets urging Delhites, particularly the youngsters, to Stay (HIV) Negative.

    The three day long activity was flagged off on 29 November, by BIG 92.7 FM Breakfast Jock Sujata and renowned television artiste Rajeev Khandelwaal from PVR Saket. The activity will culminate on December 1, World AIDS Day. On a mission to spread awareness on HIV and AIDS, the Topi Brigade distributed condoms and red ribbons among the susceptible target group of 18-35, urging them to stay safe by voicing the campaign statement - Stay Negative.

    Speaking about the initiative Mr. Punit Mathur, Station Director, BIG 92.7 FM, Delhi said ?Living upto the brand philosophy of impacting and enhancing the lives of our listeners in a positive way BIG 92.7 FM has come up with yet another innovative way of spreading awareness on AIDS. A growing concern globally, the issue of AIDS needs to be addressed in a way that it connects well with the vulnerable age group of 18-35. That is how a highly innovative concept of forming a Topi Brigade came into being. We are also addressing the issue on air and take pride in coming up with a first-of-its-kind initiative.?

    Lauding the initiative of BIG 92.7 FM, Rajeev Khandelwaal said, ?I have been associated with the cause for a very long time and have done several events with institutions involved in fighting AIDS. When BIG 92.7 FM approached me for the event, I was very excited because no one has ever approached AIDS with a different perspective altogether. It?s a great initiative, and I wish them the very best.?

    BIG 92.7 FM India?s No.1 FM & Mumbai?s highest reached station, today celebrated World AIDS Day with a difference by touching lives of various AIDS affected kids at Population Services International. In an effort to spread cheer and take a glimpse at the lives of these people, BIG 92.7 FM hosted an interactive and fun filled evening full of games; song and dance etc?and adding sparkle to their otherwise lonely lives were actress and model Kim Sharma & singer Parthiv Gohil of the ?Saawariya? fame and his partner & TV actress Mansi Parekh.

    Bringing out the excitement in each of them, the evening gained momentum with a special Karaoke session. They were seen singing, dancing, cheering, enjoying the evening to its fullest with their favourite celebrities. It was truly an interactive session as the celebrities spent time with these kids making them feel special and sought. Besides all the song & dance, BIG 92.7 FM also gave away lots of goodie bags and prizes. Actress Kim Sharma personally distributed the gifts, also signed and clicked photographs with each of the kids which will remain as a special memento for the kids.

    MUMBAI: Beauties from around the world will sashay, smile and squeeze into swimsuits as they vie for the title of Miss World 2007.Catch all the glamour when STAR WORLD televises the pageant live on 1 December.

    Held at Beauty Crown Theatre in Sanya, China, the two-hour glama-thon will see over 100 contestants doing their best to exhibit poise under pressure. From the swimsuit parade to the evening-gown segment, the leggy lovelies will parade before a panel of celebrity judges. The contestants will also share the stage with some of the world?s biggest acts. In the past, performers such as Westlife, Il Divo, Lionel Richie and Ricky Martin have graced the event.

  • BIG 92.7 FM organised Save lakes - Save Udaipur campaing

    MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM, India‘s No.1 FM Station, came forward to protest against the increasing pollution of the lakes in the lake city of Udaipur.This is part of the Station‘s endeavor to impact people‘s lives positively in everything that they do. To increase awareness among the residents of the City and to seek their support and participation, BIG 92.7 FM‘s RJ Ankit spent three long days in a boat in the middle of the famous Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur, campaigning against increasing pollution and congestion of the lakes. RJ Ankit‘s protest witnessed huge fan following with people coming to visit him through the day and leading into the night. People from across ages and sexes came forward to support RJ Ankit and the noble cause being supported.

    The campaign began on 23 November and concluded on 26 November, with huge number of citizens coming together to pledge against the lakes being polluted due to various reasons. RJ Ankit had taken this step to create a sense of responsibility among the people towards the lakes of Udaipur – which are one of the biggest assets of the City. To support the protest, RJ Ankit‘s fans formed a rally while Ankit which was attended by huge crowds.

    Living upto its brand line – ‘Suno Sunao – Life Banao‘, BIG 92.7 FM has crossed another milestone, in supporting causes relevant for the lives of the people in the city.
