  • AOL Feature's Consumers in its New TV Campaign

    MUMBAI: AOL‘s India portal www.aol.in has featured a winner of the AOL BANO TV star contest in their new TV commercial. The lucky winner has been selected among thousands of entries for the BANO AOL STAR contest.

    The BANO AOL STAR campaign invited consumers to give feed back on AOL‘s email service and get a chance to feature in their nextTV commercial. . The campaign offered a platform to consumers to appear on national TV: allanyone needed to do was to givetheir views on AOL‘s email service and get lucky. The campaign was targeted at the 18-22 yr age group, who are avid net users.

    AOL adopted a very transparent procedure to evaluate the feedback received and choose the lucky winner. Of the short listed entries, those who were willing to be filmed were invited for auditions and screen tests. The final winner ; Mr. Suryakant Chaterjee , a 26 year old media executive from New Delhiwas chosen based on those criteria.

    On this new initiative from AOL, Mr. Krish Seshadri, Head-Marketing AOL said "The approach adopted is very unique in itself, as our consumers have been made an integral part of the evolution.We wantto ensure that we don‘t lose sight of our consumers and the way they perceive our product"

    The commercial goes on air nationally from 21 December 2007.

So this time Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM India?s hottest radio station invites listeners to break their New Year resolutions in style that too live on air.

    Radio Mirchi presents Resolution Ka Demolition where RJs will make 10 lucky listeners do what is contrary to what they have pledged for the New Year / to their resolutions, in the Mirchi studio. On 1 January, 2008, RJs will demolish resolutions of the selected Delhities. Like the listeners who want to loose weight will be made to eat cakes, chocolates, jalebis, the RJs will have the subscriptions of those who plan to join gyms cancelled, the die-hard party animals that resolve to party less will be gifted with party passes, and so on.

  • Red FM Delhi announces Mall Mere Hawale Kar Do activation to usher New Year celebrations

    MUMBAI: As everyone gears to usher in New year‘s celebrations Red FM, the station of expression for millions of music lovers has announced a fun, engaging and exciting activity in Delhi -‘Mall Mere Hawale Kar Do‘.

    The activity kick started from 25 December , 07 and will be running till 13 Jan, 08. During these unique promotional activities Red FM Radio Jockey‘s will be hosting LIVE shows through the customized studio set up at Shop In Park Mall, Shalimar Bagh.

    The new-year blast on 31 December will feature all the Red FM Radio jockey‘s namely Nitin, Sachin, Smriti, Swati and Jiah hosting Mera Wala Gaana live from the mall. In addition Red FM under its social arm of "Bajaao for a Cause" has added a social aspect to this initiative by inviting children from Aman Biradari, a NGO for spending time with all Red FM RJs on 31 December.

    MUMBAI: It was a spectacular night, when the brightest stars of Indian Cinema came together for an evening filled with comedy, drama, fun, electrifying performances and an entertaining presentation of awards at the Idea Sabsey Favourite Kaun 2008. Taking the audiences through the extravaganza were the winning trio Shilpa Shukla, Tanya Abrol, Chitrashi Rawat along with witty comic actor Sunil Grover. The dazzling finale premieres exclusively on Star Gold on 6 January, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.

    The show began with a dynamic performance by our hosts from their blockbuster movie of the year Chak De India. The multi- faceted singing sensation, Himesh Reshammiya rocked the evening with songs from his debut movie - Aap Ka Suroor and left the audience spell bound. That‘s not all; the audiences were in for a treat when the ravishing Katrina Kaif set the stage on fire with her performance from her blockbusters Partner and Welcome.

    MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM‘s breakfast jock "Speed" Dheena has been recognized as the "Best Male RJ of the year" by Ananda Vikatan, a popular Tamil weekly Magazine in Chennai. Dheena‘s name has been published in the current edition of the weekly magazine.

    Speed Dheena who hosts the breakfast show, BIG Vanakkam on BIG 92.7 FM - Chennai is already every Chennaites favorite. Hailed as one of the most popular RJ by Tamil radio listeners, he is well known for his ability to find humor in various situations. It is his ability to see the different side of things makes him a logically humorous person. Approachable, friendly and a person who can easily have the audiences singing his tunes, Speed Dheena can jump from one topic to another at lightning speed.
