    Robert Thorn (Schreiber), a senior American diplomat, is about to tell his wife, Katherine (Stiles, The Bourne Supremacy), that their newborn child has died after a difficult delivery. However, the hospital priest presents Thorn with another child whose mother died in childbirth and compels him to take the infant boy as his own; Katherine will never know the truth, and their son, which they name Damien, will be raised as their own.

    After Thorn is named a US ambassador, Damien is linked to a series of macabre murders and troubling events. As the number of incidents rise, Thorn concludes that there is something seriously wrong with his son. But it is only later that Thorn comprehends the truth: Damien is the long-prophesized Anti-Christ. Now Thorn must make the ultimate sacrifice to save the world from an unspeakable terror.

  • Sa Re Ga Ma Pa event in Eilate- Israel celebrating Indo-Israeli diplomatic relation

    MUMBAI: Thousands of Indians crowded at Hotel Sport an arm of the Red Sea Resort city of Israel to see live performances by the contestants of Zee TV - Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 and Little Champs 2006 finalists, who captivated the audience with rocking Bollywood numbers. The Stage was set on fire by performers like ? Aneek Dhar, Raja Hasan, Harpreet Deol, Mauli Dave, Sumedha Karmahe and little champ Sanchita Bhattacharya who mesmerized the audience.

    The annual event was organized by RT&T Travel and Tours and promoted by Zee TV Asia Pacific. This event drew unprecedented response from Indian Jews nearly 4,000 of whom turned up to see their favourite stars from the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

    India?s Ambassador to Israel Arun Kumar Singh mentioned that, this event was a very important link between India and Israel. He appreciated the efforts of Zee TV Asia Pacific and the organizer Mr. Benny Binyamin (RT&T) for whom he said - ?You are a very important link between India and Israel. This event clearly shows the strong sentimental attachment you have for India even after getting completely integrated into the Israeli society,? For Zee he mentioned - ?You are a very important element in the strengthening relations between the two countries? This event marked 15 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

    The overwhelming crowd is not so surprising given the popularity of ?Sa Re Ga Ma Pa? here. People know all these participants and followed the 2007 challenge very closely. At the venue the beach was transformed into a ?mini-chaupati? as Indian music reverberated the air and stalls of Bhelpuri, Papri Chaat and other snacks seen all around.

  • Red FM 'Bachaos' Mumbai For a Cause

    MUMBAI: This New Year conserve energy!‘ In this day and age of severe energy wastage and crisis, RED FM in association with the International Institute of Energy conservation has undertaken to conserve the energy of Mumbai under its ‘Bachao for a Cause‘ campaign.Staying true to its Baajate Raho roots, Red FM created awareness and minimized the consumption of electricity through a unique competition amongst corporate houses across Mumbai, who were challenged to reduce their electricity consumption.

    Spanning from Dec 28th- Jan 4th, volunteers from Red FM and NSS volunteers from SNDT and Smt. BM Ruia Girls College paid a visit to 55 corporate offices and distributed posters and material educating them on how to minimize their energy consumption. The competition began with the initial electricity meter recording on the 4 of January and ended with the final meter recording on the 10 of January.

    Commenting in support of Red FM‘s ‘Bachao for a Cause‘ campaign, Municipal Commissioner Dr. J.M. Phatak said, "Power, oil and water are in short supply. We must conserve them."

    With the BMC too stepping in to support RED FM in its endeavor to conserve energy, Anuj Singh, Station and Marketing Head, Red FM further said, "We initiated the ‘Bachao for a Cause‘ drive to spread awareness about energy conservation methods in corporate houses across Mumbai. This initiative will empower employees to avoid wastage of energy and add to the reserve pool by making a contribution to the nation‘s energy resources."

    The winners will be declared on the basis of percentage reduction in electricity consumption over the previous per day consumption calculated on the basis of last one month of electricity bills. The winner will also be felicitated with a "Bachao for a Cause" trophy from Red FM.

    MUMBAI: It was victory time for Rashmi, V Kranthi Kumar, Raj Dongre and Sanjay Mondal as they came reining winners at BIG 92.7FMs greatest endurance test aptly titled ‘Chipak Ke Jeeto‘ in association with Hyundai Motors‘ newly launched Hyundai i10.The three days of high voltage excitement finally came to an end today with the announcement of the winners.

    As per the Limca Book of Records, one winner would be selected from across the 3 cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad and the winner was Raj Dongre from Mumbai. As promised, he will have his name listed as a record holder in the Limca Book of Records for his endurance and winning the contest by remaining touched to the car for a record breaking 72 hrs and 50 minutes hours. Close competition was received from Sanjay Mondal from Kolkata.

BIG 92.7 FM, India‘s No.1 FM Station in association with Hyundai Motors‘ newly launched i10 has hosted this ultimate endurance test, aptly christened - Chipak Ke Jeeto. The contest Chipak Ke Jeeto was a one of its kind challenge, allowing the contestant who remains touching the swanky new Hyundai i10 for the longest period, the opportunity to grab the keys and drive the machine home! Chipak Ke Jeeto conceptualized and presented by BIG 92.7 FM was held simultaneously across four major cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The event was put together by BIG Events.

    The contest weekend also had a host of celebrities visit the location, like Ashmit Patel, Kunal Khemu, Aabhas (Voice of India host), Aneek Dhar and Poonam Yadav (Saregamapa fame), Ayesha Takia, Shreyas Talpade, Shibani Kashyap, Rahul Vaidya rooting and cheering the participants, this apart from the families, friends and local populace.     The selection process for this high voltage contest began a month prior across the cities. To register for the contest, users had to call the IVR Number 5055454 through GSM phones or 51234927 through Reliance phones and register for the contest. The eligible entries had to undergo medical tests and counseling sessions, before the short-listed finalists were announced. The Station had also organized training sessions to ensure the participants have all the gearing up and preparations required, before the D day. The finalists then had to compete with each other to win the car from January 11, 2008 across all 5 locations. ‘Chipak ke Jeeto‘. The entry phase saw people from across the metros seeking participation in large numbers.

  • Rolls-Royce Celebrates Record Result

    MUMBAI: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars saw sales in 2007 increase by 25 per cent, compared to 2006, with retails of 1010 cars. This is the first time that annual sales have reached four figures and the fourth successive sales increase since the company was launched in 2003.

    There was strong demand for all Phantom models, with the four door versions (Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase) remaining the best sellers and accounting for 75 per cent of the total. However, it was the exceptional demand for the new Phantom Drophead Coup?, launched in the summer, which drove the volume increase. Production capacity at Goodwood was maximized by working extended shifts.

    ?Everybody at Rolls-Royce is delighted with this tremendous result which marks our fifth anniversary in the best possible way,? said Ian Robertson, Chairman and Chief Executive. ?It confirms Rolls-Royce as the most desirable brand in the super luxury market and is a credit to the passion and dedication of our teams at Goodwood and around the world. The customer reaction to the Drophead Coup? has been astonishing, exceeding all our expectations.?

    North America remained the biggest single market for Rolls-Royce in 2007, accounting for 40 per cent of sales and showing growth of 22 per cent. Exceptional performances were seen in the United Arab Emirates and in China which grew by around 70 and 50 per cent respectively.

    The Rolls-Royce dealer network expanded to 80 in 2007, with new showrooms including St Petersburg, Kiev and Dresden. The top selling dealers worldwide in 2007 were, respectively, Beverly Hills, London, Abu Dhabi, Tokyo and Dubai. Abu Dhabi saw the highest annual increase, with sales more than doubling.

    Looking ahead in 2008, Rolls-Royce has announced its intention to launch a two-door coup? model, based on the Phantom, in the summer. Further into the future a new Rolls-Royce model series, to sit alongside the Phantom models, will be launched in 2010, currently named RR4.

  • BIG 92.7 FM Kanpur organizes Vintage and Classic Car Rally

    MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM, India‘s No. 1 FM Station took its listeners to the next level of excitement by organizing a splendid show of vintage cars in city.BIG 92.7 FM Kanpur in association with Vintage and Classis Car Club of Cawnpore organized an exciting Vintage and Classic Car Rally 2008 at Green Park Stadium on Sunday, 13 January.

    The rally saw more than 40 Vintage cars from the era of 1913 to 1965 contesting for various titles. The rally was hugely promoted through various exciting on-air programmes. BIG 92.7 FM‘s RJ Ady interacted with the rally participants, who talked about their excitement on participating in this prestigious rally. India‘s oldest Rolls Royce model of 1913 named Jewel of India, was the main attraction of the day while older versions of Austin, Singer, Fiat, Ford, Rover and Morris Minor also got huge response. The rally culminated with a gala felicitation to the Queen of the rally grabbed by Silver Ghost, Rolls Royce 1916.
