Liverpool and Chelsea will be meeting each other for the fourth consecutive year in the Champions League and for the third time in the semi-finals. The six games to date have produced a paltry three goals in total.

Liverpool have won seven of their last eight European home games and 11 of their last 13. They are unbeaten in their last seven Champions League games in which they have scored 24 goals and conceded only four.

The Reds coach Rafael Benitez will depend heavily on the scoring abilities of skipper Steven Gerrard and Spanish sensation Fernando Torres, who have scored 11 goals in the tournament this year, with Gerrard netting six times.

Liverpool have a magnificent semi-finals pedigree, reaching the final from each of their last seven appearances in the last four in Europe‘s prime club competition. The only time they failed to go through was in their first appearance in 1965 when they lost 4-3 on aggregate to Inter Milan.

Chelsea have kept clean sheets in seven of their last eight Champions League games. They will be looking for their first final appearance after losing thrice in semi-finals previously.

Barcelona and Manchester United have won two matches each and have three draws in head-to-head in European competitions. They will both look forward to the possibility of adding to their one Champions League title till date by reaching the final.

While Lionel Messi is the leading scorer for Barcelona with six goals, Manchester United will hope Cristiano Ronaldo, who has already scored seven goals in the competition, fires again.

Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 11 Champions League games of which they have won nine, including all the last five. Barcelona have not won any of their last three home games against English clubs, but United have won only once in 16 away trips to Spain. • Verizon Heritage live on Ten Sports

Submitted by ITV Production on Apr 18, 2008

MUMBAI: Defending champion Boo Weekly and Masters runner-up Brandt Snedeker ? two of the most endearing characters on the US PGA Tour ? will be the focus of all attention after their strong show at last week‘s Masters when the Verizon Heritage is played at the picturesque Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

With world number three Ernie Els and number nine Jim Furyk also in the field, a super week of golf is in the offing for the fans. And Ten Sports, the most watched sports channel in the Sub-continent, will bring live and exclusive all the action, starting with the second round on early morning of Friday, April 18, at 1:00 am IST.

Although Weekly had to battle for his tied 20th place in his Masters debut, he was in upbeat mood for his title defence. He won last year in spectacular style, chipping in to save par on the last two holes to seal his maiden PGA Tour victory by a shot.

For Snedeker, his Masters debut was like riding a roller-coaster of emotion. The American dissolved into tears after battling to a five-over-par 77 in the final round at Augusta National, which placed him tied for third place behind Trevor Immelman and Tiger Woods.

But going into the Heritage Classic, Snedeker exuded confidence and said he has gained perspective on what he achieved at the Masters.

"I did a lot of great things last week," he said. "I was emotional because I came to close to living out one of my dreams and I wasn‘t able to do it. It‘s part of life, part of golf.

"Obviously, there was a lot of disappointment for me on Sunday and I think you all kind of saw the emotions run over. But I don‘t regret how I played. I don‘t regret how I handled myself afterwards. Nobody died, we‘re fine, life goes on. There‘s a whole lot more important stuff in the world to worry about than me crying because I played one bad round of golf."

  • Friday Night Premiere on Star Movies: Scary Movie 4

Submitted by ITV Production on Apr 17, 2008

MUMBAI: Many of the sets resemble the real ones used in the original films. The Saw producers were so impressed, they asked if they could use the bathroom set from Scary Movie 4 for Saw III.

Anna Faris (Cindy) and Regina Hall (Brenda) are the only two cast members to appear in all four Scary Movie films.

TV fans will recognize Regina Hall from her one-season stint in Ally McBeal. In Scary Movie 2, she made fun of Ally star Calista Flockhart.

In the original Scary Movie, Regina Hall played a high school student, even though she was 30 at the time.

Someone is crushed by a car at the end of Scary Movie 4, just like in the previous ones. This time it‘s James Earl Jones, the film‘s narrator.

Most of the special effects in the film were in the parody of War of the Worlds.

This is the first film in the Scary Movie franchise, to be shot in HD.

The movies spoofed in Scary Movie 4 include War of the Worlds, The Grudge, The Village, and Brokeback Mountain.

Scary Movie 4 co-stars Regina Hill, Leslie Nielsen and Craig Bierko are currently starring in another film spoof. The trio reunited for Superhero Movie, a comedy parodying the blockbusters Spider-Man and Superman.

Although she is best known for her role in the Scary Movie franchise, Anna Faris has also starred in Oscar-winning fare like Lost in Translation and Brokeback Mountain.

While Anna Faris is grateful to the Scary Movie films for giving her a start in show business, she also feels that they‘ve limited her options. "[The Scary Movie films] have given me a career, but they‘ve also sort of boxed me in. What really surprised me when I first moved here is that the industry thought of actors as either comedic or dramatic. And I‘m still confused. I understand that maybe some people are better at one or the other, but I can‘t understand why it‘s so divided. I‘ve been able to chip away at that a bit; I think it gets easier as my body of work expands."

A natural blonde, Anna Faris died her hair dark for the first two Scary Movie films so she could resemble Neve Campbell from the Scream franchise.

Scary Movie 4 director David Zucker is a veteran of film spoofs. His earliest film is the 1980 hit Flying High. He also helmed the Naked Gun series as well as the 1986 comedy Ruthless People. Scary Movie 4 reunites the director with his Naked Gun star, Leslie Nielsen.

Film critic Roger Ebert once described Leslie Nielsen as "the Laurence Olivier of spoofs." Some of his other parodies include 2001: A Space Travesty, Spy Hard, Repossessed and Wrongfully Accused.

In Scary Movie 4, Leslie Nielsen plays President Baxter Harris. In reality, his brother was the deputy Prime Minister of Canada.
