NEW DELHI: World Movies, India‘s only international movie channel from UTV Network, presents Martial Arts Weekend on 20 and 21 June. Martial Arts Weekend showcases Yimou Zhang‘s award-winning, action-packed epic blockbusters "Hero" and "House of Flying Daggers".

"Hero" starring Jet Li and Ziyi Zhang is the most expensive Chinese movie till date. The movie has won 21 awards & been nominated for 19 others. "Hero" is the first foreign language film to open at No. 1 at the US box office and was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars and the Golden Globes in 2003.

"House of Flying Daggers", an Oscar nominee, was also the official selection at Cannes Film Festival 2004. The movie has to its credit 16 prestigious awards and 33 nominations. Shot in Ukraine for its climatic fight scenes, the movie was nominated for Best Cinematography at the Oscars. This international box-office hit stars Hong Kong‘s most commercially successful film actor Andy Lau and Ziyi Zhang who has a string of Chinese and international hits to her name.

This epic story unravels the strong bond between the mighty, yet humble monkey deity and Lord Ram. Stories of Hanuman‘s love, devotion, selfless service, knowledge, power and strength are revealed on NDTV Imagine‘s Ramayan, starting 24 June at 9:30 p.m.!

While Lord Ram and Lakshman look for Sita who has been abducted by the demon king Ravan, their search brings them to the vicinity of the mountain Rishyamukha, where the monkey king Sugriva lives with his followers. Having seen them in his territory, Sugriva sends Hanuman to ascertain their identities. Hanuman approaches the two brothers in the disguise of a Brahmin but soon realizes that Ram is none other than his revered master. Thereafter, Hanuman‘s life becomes interwoven inextricably with that of Ram. Hanuman then brings about a friendship and alliance between Ram and Sugriva. When Sugriva realizes that Ram is Lord Vishnu in a mortal avatar, he and his followers become his devotees. While Ram helps Sugriva regain his honor and makes him king of Kishkindha, Sugriva and his vanaras, most notably Hanuman, help Ram defeat Ravan and reunite with Sita.

The strong bond between Shri Ram and Hanuman is one of the emotional strengths of Ramayan. Hanuman becomes the hero of the chapters that narrate the battle between Lord Ram and Ravan. He is the eternal symbol for mankind of unconditional devotion, faith and love of the devotee for the Lord. The episodes which ensure after the meeting of Ram and Hanuman are strong in emotional content and are filled with ceaseless special effects as the Monkey lord performs one amazing feat after another! The character of Hanuman will be played by Vikram Sharma.

Shailesh Lodha; a Malwani character gets to spend an entire day with Apara Mehta err???Lilen Lavanya, who gives a glimpse of her life as an A-lister in the world of C-grade movies to Shailesh. Rajesh; a Mallu director is shocked when he hears about working ways of C grade movies in the metro from Sarita (Rajiv Nigam).
