Submitted by ITV Production on Jun 09, 2008

MUMBAI: Unearth more secrets as the meaty drama, Bones, returns to STAR WORLD for a second season from Wednesday 11 June at 10 pm.

This season, forensic anthropologist Brennan (Emily Deschanel, Boogeyman) and her FBI agent partner Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) are joined by no-nonsense pathologist Dr Camille Saroyan (Tamara Taylor, Serenity). Her addition to the team adds conflict, especially since she was once romantically involved with Booth.

In the season one finale, Brennan identified her mother?s remains and discovered her bank-robber father is still alive. After learning the shocking secrets about her parents, Brennan is more determined than ever to find out the truth behind her mother?s death.

This season?s guest stars include Jessica Capshaw (The Practice), British comedian Stephen Fry and film veteran Ryan O?Neal.

With its offbeat humour and opposites-attract dynamic, Bones sets itself apart from other forensic-focused dramas. Says executive producer Hart Hanson, ?Bones makes you cry and makes you laugh, scares you a little every once in a while and it makes you wanna throw up every once in a while.?

Commenting on the 2nd season, Emily Deschanel says, ?There are so many episodes in the 2nd season that are special for me in so many reasons. There was an episode when I was buried alive, that one?s called ?Aliens in a Spaceship.? That was pretty scary for me to do! It?s actually hard to pick one episdoe over the other. It?s just like children ? you don?t want to pick your favorite child.?

Episode 1: The Titan on the Tracks: Brennan is summonsed to a train derailment ... and discovers she has a new boss. A train carrying a popular senator was derailed by a car positioned on the tracks. Brennan works out why the dead body of a rich businessman was placed in the car. Meanwhile, she continues to try to find her father.

  • Sabitri -satyaban celebration Hubby-ho

Submitted by ITV Production on Jun 07, 2008

MUMBAI: True to the lineage, Indian women continue with their tradition of praying for their husbands?. Even in the age of firebrand feminism and gender equality, marriage still symbolizes security for thousands of women in free but conservative society, the same goes for our very own Oriya ladies.

This is an important Oriya celebration; the ladies of Orissa celebrate it pompously with great emotion. This festival marks the true love understanding and bonding between husband and wife. Sabitri was a legendary wife who by the dint of her devotion to husband could win back her husband from the clutches of lord Yama the god of death. Thus on amavasya day this Sabitri osa is celebrated.

We at Radio Choklate being Odisha‘s Apna No 1 channel naturally could not afford to miss out this great occasion. As the ladies observe fast for the long life of their husband Radio Choklate sends fruit hampers with sindoor alta bangles and new sarees, called "BHAARA" to well-known married ladies who have served and bought good name to Orissa, as a mark of respect to them and also those ladies who are in slum areas, having no fund to celebrate this puja.

To mark this occasion, we even had on AIR celebrations; A message contest was organized by us and sponsored by BOMBAY DYEING where the best message through SMS to our station by a wife to her husband and vice-versa would be selected for attractive prizes. Our jockeys live on AIR enacted some short skits depicting various moods of relationship between husband and wife, which was a big hit.

On Sabitri day Choklate jockeys went to different temples of twin city as well as even to Jajpur for live coverage especially the famous BIRAJA MANDIR of Orissa where women folk throng to offer prayers on this auspicious occasion. This was basically an attempt by radio Choklate to revive the love between husband and wife, which usually takes a back seat in this mundane day-to-day life.

We got a great response as couples being married for as long as 20 yrs responded and participated and thanked us for bringing them even closer to their husband, many who had not been able to communicate their feelings of love could do so with Radio Choklate. This was indeed a touching experience for the team of Radio Choklate.

A MEGA EVENT in the form of a gala prize distribution ceremony brought down the final curtain to this grand celebration. The idea behind this event was to thank the listeners who had participated, felicitate the winners, and encourage the listeners who had not won to participate with more fervor for our coming events. Our sponsors who are close to our hearts without whose support this programme could not have been successful were also felicitated by our honorable M.D Eastern Media Ltd.

A small cultural programme was organized by our energetic joshila team of RJ S‘ based on Modern day SABITRI and SATYABAN along with an AIDS awareness campaign presented by way of a stage play.

"All‘s well that ends well." Seemed just the right slogan for team radio choklate at the conclusion of sabitri satyaban mahautsav.
