    MUMBAI: The much awaited moment of winning a dream house, in the game show - ‘Bommarilu‘ in maa tv, has been accomplished. The lucky winners are the father-daughter combination.

    The winners, Mr.Talasila Venkata Ratnam and his daughter Mrs.Myneni Soubhagyalaxmi belong to Jaggayapeta, Krishna District. Mr.Venkata Ratnam is basically a farmer and the daughter is a house wife.

    His grandson participated by sending sms only once and they were very happy to get the call.

    The house which they won is about 300 square yards plot area and 1500 Sft constructed area which is situated at Kandawada near Chevalla.

    Maa TV‘s ‘first of its kind‘ game show Bommarillu is a very interesting and unique concept which keeps the viewers addicted to the television. ‘Suhasini‘ the popular actress is the anchor of this show.

    MUMBAI: NDTV Convergence and Wipro Infotech, the India and Middle East arm are organising a thought leadership seminar ‘Vision 2020 ? Financial Services Sector‘.

    To be held on 12 September, the summit is focused on the evolutionary process of Indian BFSI segment.

    The seminar will see speakers discussing topics like the future of private and retail banking, mergers and acquisitions, and competition and challenges in the financial sector in the Year 2020. The keynote speaker for the event is Reserve Bank of India deputy governor Usha Thorat.

  • CNBC-TV18, Intel and Dell presented the 'SME - Scale, Mobility, Efficiency' Forum in Mumbai

    MUMBAI: CNBC-TV18, the undisputed leader in the business, together with Intel, associate sponsor Dell presented ‘SME-Scale, Mobility, Efficiency‘ in Mumbai. The objective of this interactive panel discussion was to maximize the potential of SMEs from Animation Industry to achieve their peak potential using the available IT solutions.

    The panel of experts at the forum consisted of Rajesh Gupta, Director-Sales & Marketing, Intel, Somil Gupta, MD, Trine Entertainment Ltd, Anand Gurnani, CEO, animationexpress.com, Jaideep Ghosh, Director, KPMG; Krishnakumar.P, Director of Marketing, Dell. They discussed the various challenges, the opportunities and charted the blue print for making SME Animation clusters IT- enabled for prosperity.

    Indian animation industry has proven itself over the years. What began as an offshore outsourced model is now witnessing tie-ups with international production houses like Walt Disney, IMAX and Warner Bros. According to Jaideep Ghosh, Director; KPMG, currently the entertainment animation in India accounts to 300 to 400 million dollars. The number can reach to 950 million dollars in next two to three years.

    The panel shed a light on the problems that the industry is facing. While speaking on the occasion Rajesh Gupta, Director-Sales & Marketing, Intel said, "Technology plays an integral in animation. But the available solutions are not completely exploited. Traditionally SMEs approach technology in an ad-hoc manner". He added that even though there are a lot of people who are learning the tools of animation the real test comes in applying them in the right situations. Anand Gurnani of animation express.com noted that animation has always been a production specific industry but it is changing and is now witnessing a dearth of people.

    On the positive side the panel noted that even though Indian animation industry did not have the 2D animation legacy, it is well poised to take on the 3D animation challenge.

    While speaking on the occasion Mr. Neel Chowdhury- Vice President, Marketing, CNBC-TV18 and CNBC AWAAZ said "Due to dynamics of small scale industries and budding entrepreneurs from across the country, it has always remained high on the agenda of all political parties, social groups and policy makers. We at CNBC-TV18 have always recognized the significance of the SME sector in the context of sustained and rapid economic growth. Hence taking up this same agenda CNBC-TV18 in association with Intel structured the ‘SME-Scale, Mobility, Efficiency‘ forum with the objective of charting the blue print for the SME sector in Mumbai.

    The forum was moderated by Mr. Vivek Law of CNBC TV 18 and it ensured that the aspirant SMEs are able to empower themselves for global opportunities clearing all their doubts clouding the issues of Information Technology.
