Submitted by ITV Production on Oct 01, 2008

MUMBAI: This musical weekend started off with a big shock as Shaan revealed that this Friday would change the history of Indian Television. For the first time, Friday would witness an elimination round which would leave the contestants, judges and audience completely awestruck. All the three judges were confused as there was no voting last week and hence, no scope for elimination. But Shaan was determined and assured to disclose the suspense towards the end of the show.

Back in the mood of music, the contestants were all set to perform their best on Remix theme set for this Friday. Ritisha ignited the heat as she crooned to the tune of the peppy number ?Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar?. Her performance was liked by the judges but Monty suggested that she could have done much better. Punjab da puttar Vipul recreated the magic from the golden days as he lend his voice to the lovely track ?Gulabi aankhen?. Sukhwinder complimented Vipul for his consistency .The other contestant Rohit came up with a melodious track ?Bheegi Bheegi?. The judges were satisfied with his singing skill and they felt that Rohit had performed straight from his heart.

Saptaparna was clearly the show stealer as her performance on the song ?Koi Shehri Babu? gained high applause from one and all. Sukhwinder was overwhelmed by her singing style as it reflected her emotions, while Ismail declared that Saptaparna has it all to win over the title. The Delhi boy, Ravi, faced a tough challenge as he attempted to sing Md. Rafi?s song ?Badan Pe Sitare?. But to everyone?s surprise Ravi performed better than the judges expected. All the three judges unanimously agreed that Ravi has matured his singing style and has come a long way. Mallar, the last contestant of the evening, gave an electrifying performance on ?Bachna Aye Haseeno? which swayed the judges on their seats. They could clearly see a prospective Voice of India in Mallar.

Finally the elimination round struck the contestants and the judges. Shaan handed over an envelope to each of the contestants. With lots of suspense, thrill and tension building up, the six finalists un-wrapped the envelopes, only to find that judges? names written on each of them. Shaan revealed that henceforth, public will decide on each contestant?s fate. This completely disturbed the judges who walked off. Will they come back on the show? How will Amul Star Voice of India catapult into the finals without their eminent judges?

But that?s not all, as the suspense still intensified. A female voice boomed on the sets and warned all that it wasn?t the end but just the beginning of the game. There might be someone else, other than the six finalists, who could win over the coveted title of ?Voice of India?. But whose was this female voice and who else might take away the title?

    The suspense has just begun???..
