  • Zoom to launch Bollywood Case Files and Bollywood Biographies

    MUMBAI: Zoom will start airing Bollywood Case Files from 13 October. The bi-weekly show will air every Monday and Tuesday at 8:30 pm. The show will be hosted by Tisca Chopra.

    Bollywood Case Files is a 12-part original investigative series that takes on the scandals, rumors and controversies that have rocked the film industry. From investigative reports on celebrities, who had shocking run-ins with the law or are involved in nasty court battles to rocky relationships between stars and their contemporaries. The emotional stories of stars that battled grave issues, crisis, odd friendships, alleged goings-on, feuds and more?

    Each episode takes up one most talked-about case as it tests it inside and out. While there is a lot of loose reportage that keeps happening, one thing that the public never knows is what these stars and personalities actually go through in terms of physical and emotional endurance.   • Ten Sports brings US PGA Valero Texas Open Live

    MUMBAI: Ten Sports, the most watched sports channel in the Sub-continent, will bring live American Ryder Cup star Justin Leonard?s bid to become the first player in tournament history to win the Valero Texas Open four times when he defends his title this week.

    Leonard, who is playing his first PGA Tour event after the Tour Championship, and Arnold Palmer are the only players to win this event three times. He is currently 10th on the money list, with $3,963,661, a career high for earnings, and finished eighth in the FedExCup.

    The Valero Texas Open is one of the oldest stops on the PGA Tour and is the third of seven Fall Series events on the 2008 PGA Tour schedule.

    Live telecast on Ten Sports starts 1:30 am from Friday, October 10.

    Leonard won his third Valero Texas Open last year, joining World Golf Hall of Fame member Arnold Palmer (1960-62) as the only players with that distinction. Leonard first won the tournament in 2000 and successfully defended his title in 2001. His win a year ago came in a playoff over Jesper Parnevik.

    There are eight past Major championship winners in this week?s field. They are Davis Love III (1997 PGA Championship), David Duval (2001 British Open), David Toms (2001 PGA Championship), Steve Elkington (1995 PGA Championship), Rich Beem (2002 PGA Championship), Zach Johnson (2006 Masters Tournament) and Justin Leonard (1997 British Open).

    The Valero Texas Open again set the mark for the most money given to charity in 2007 with $8.4 million raised. The tournament has surpassed $33 million in contributions since its inception. Golf San Antonio, which organises the Valero Texas Open, raises charitable dollars through its pro-am events, the Birdies for Charity program and the Chip In for Schools program that allows schools to sell discounted tournament tickets and keep all the proceeds.
