BBC World News takes Spirit of Golf tournament to fourth year
BANGALORE: BBC World News, the BBC‘s international 24-hour news and information channel, is set to host the Spirit of Golf 2009 tournament, taking place on 24 January at the Jaypee Green grounds, New Delhi. BBC World News is hosting the event in association with the Ministry of Tourism, India, which has been associated with the tournament since its inception. Participants will include corporate leaders and top bureaucrats; they will compete for prizes as well as the honour of winning Spirit of Golf 2009. There will also be a Golf Clinic to initiate beginners to the basics of golfing. onathan Howlett, Director of Advertising Sales, BBC Worldwide, says, "It‘s wonderful to be returning to New Delhi for the 2009 Spirit of Golf tournament, and it‘s equally great to be continuing our long standing association with the Ministry of Tourism, as well as many returning sponsors.
