  • Music release of Maruti Mera Dost

    MUMBAI: The music release function of Maruti Mera Dosst took place at Cinemax, Andheri on April 28. The function was attended by Vinod Bhanushali of T-Series, producer Abhimanyu Singh, music director Kartik Shah, actors Sudhir Dalvi, Vindu Singh, Sushmita Mukherjee Bundela, Ausshima Sawhney, Manish Paul, Gul Hamid, Urvashi Yadav and child actors Erik and Ritika.

    Maruti Mera Dosst, the audio right of which has been acquired by T Series, is all about good against evil and how superhero Maruti (Lord Hanuman) fights the evil forces that are trying to harm his biggest fan and disciple Rameshwari, a very pretty and innocent eight year old girl.

    Maruti Mera Dosst is an exceptionally entertaining film. Apart from the starcast, the film is packed with action, adventure, state-of-the-art creature effects, animation and special effects.

    Maruti Mera Dosst produced by Contiloe Pictures Private Ltd stars Chandrachud Singh, Ritika Shrivastava, Erik A. Nanda, Sushmita Mukherji Bundela, Murli Sharma, Vindu Dara Singh and Shahbazz Khan.

    The music composition by Kartik Shah has five power-packed songs by Kailash Kher, Kay Kay, Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal and Chandrachud Singh.

  • BBC India Election Train arrives in Mumbai

    MUMBAI: The BBC?s India Election Train and its team of journalists arrived in Mumbai, the third destination on a three week journey across India this morning. Reporting to the world, in 12 languages, across 14 BBC services, they are investigating the stories and personalities behind India?s forthcoming election.

    Here the journalists will delve into globalization and India?s economic and security issues.

    The BBC train is traveling from Delhi to Mumbai via Ahmedabad on the second leg of the trip, before moving on to Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata (Calcutta), Patna and Allahabad, before returning to Delhi.

    On board the train are journalists working for BBC World Service English, BBC Hindi, BBC Urdu, BBC Tamil, BBC Bengali, BBC Chinese, BBC Vietnamese, BBC Burmese, BBC Somali, BBC Swahili, BBC World News, BBC Arabic television, BBC Persian TV and BBC.Com/news.

    MUMBAI: To heat up the current political scenario, NewsX brings in a power packed debate show - The Election Debate. To be aired on Sunday, the show this week visits Delhi with a guest panel including the GenNext of politics like Ragini Nayak, ex DUSU president, Sundeep Dixit and Deependra Hooda from Congress.

    The discussion focuses on the young leaders in politics. With majority of India‘s population under age of 30 years, the average age of politicians, i.e. 70 years, comes as a stark contrast. Watch these youthful politicians on NewsX as they defend their experience to their age.

  • PRCAI to Set Process Standards and Establish Knowledge Forums

    MUMBAI: The Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI), the apex body of PR (public relations) consultancies in India, plans to set new process standards in place and establish knowledge forums across key centres in India. This was decided at its recent annual general meeting. PRCAI, which elected a new managing committee at the April 17 AGM, is also gearing up to meet the changing needs of a slowing economy and focus on the adoption of Web 2.0 in the digital media space.

    PRCAI will also shortly release a detailed research study on the PR and communications industry in India. Involving users, including the media, the research focuses on best industry practices, identify key growth sectors and will profile the public relations and public affairs industry across the country.

    The new Managing Committee comprises, 20:20 Media General Manager Chetan Mahajan as President, Integral PR MS & CEO Sharif Rangnekar as Vice-President and Avian Media CEO Nitin Mantri as Secretary. The key appointees for the Regional Chapters are: Genesis Burson Marsteller Managing Partner for the Northern Region Nikhil Dey as Chairperson, North; The PRactice Account Director Shane Jacob as Chairperson, South; Comma Consulting General Manager Amitesh Banerjee as Chairperson, West. Appointees for Vice-Chairpersons are: CMCG India MD Samir Kale as Vice-Chairperson, West; 20:20 Media Branch Director Viju George as Vice-Chairperson, South; Genesis Burson Marsteller Consulting Associate Diya Nair as Vice-Chairperson, East.

    Representing 20 of the top PR consultancies in India, PRCAI will undertake a number of activities through 2009 to enhance the significance of communications as a key tool in stakeholder management.
