• Bigadda concert for change urges indians the musical way

    MUMBAI: Thousands of music lovers? LIVE and pulsating performances...one BIG CONCERT! ?[v] BIGADDA Concert for Change? was the biggest concert that Mumbai city experienced. Acts by the most celebrated and the hottest Indian artists, guaranteed high power adrenalin rush for thousands of screaming fans present at the Andheri Sports Complex.

    [v] BIGADDA Concert for Change was a joint initiative by BIGADDA and Channel [v], to urge the youth to ?be the change?. The aim of the concert was to awaken their minds by giving out simple ways in which they could bring about a change in their daily lives. The ecstatic crowd was grooving with Indi-pop artists ? the king of Sufi music? Kailash Kher, Godfather of Disco ? Bappi Lahiri, the ex-viva girl & the bollywood singing sensation ? Anoushka Manchanda and the seamless ? Raghu Dixit. That wasn?t all; After passing the brutal trails and tribulations on [v] Launch Pad, the bands that made it to the top three- Faridkot from Delhi, Reverse Polarity from Kolkata also entertained the audiences with some rocking music and got the crowd all pumped up and jumping.

    Music buffs that came in large numbers to groove with their favourite singers went back with a changed approach to life all thanks to the artists. During performances, they were urging Indians to stop complaining and be the change. The singers pledged to the audience to be aware of the various problems existing in the society today. Demand better roads and water supply, report bribery cases at your nearest ACB office, file a PIL on behalf of your people, if issues of terrorism and safety surround you; these were some of the sentiments echoed by the singers. The super cool VJs of Channel [v] ? VJ Juhi, VJ Mantra and Lola Kutty with their remarkable comic timing entertained the crowd.

    Speaking about the concert, Prem Kamath, General Manager, Channel [v] said, ?We?ve not even scratched the surface in taking control of our civic fate, as Mumbai?s voter turnout showed.     MUMBAI: As BIG 92.7 FM Kolkata lives up to its offering of Moner Moto Gaan (music that you like!) each day, the Station is soothing the ears of the quintessential Bengalis by hosting a Mojar Adda on the eve of the birth anniversary of the legendary poet - Rabindranath Tagore. On the eve of ?Rabindra Jayanti?, BIG 92.7 FM has lined up some great on-air offerings which will take the listeners back to the golden era.

    Starting on May 09, the celebrations will start with the early morning show Swaranagato being hosted by RJ Sumonto by playing the Puja Porjay chapter of songs through the devotional hour.

    Morning Show BIG Chumuk will continue with a trivia on Rabindranath Tagore, in which BIG 92.7 FM will answer all queries from listeners on the works of Rabindranath Tagore. The morning show will play song-lists comprised of bollywood?s adaptation of popular Tagore?s song.

    The mid morning show Adda Express will have Abhro Ghosh speaking about the food habbits & special cuisines of Tagore family.

    The afternoon band Masti Ki Pathsala will have popular band Paraspathar & Shilajit churning out their renditions of popular Tagore songs. Celebrity Fashion Designer Agnimitra Paul will also be there to speak about the Tagorian Fashion.

    The night band show Rather Athithi will host Tollywood celebrities ON AIR with RJ Sumonto speaking on how Tagore?s works have touched their lives on different occasions with a songlist that will have Tagore?s Prem Porjay chapter of songs taking the listeners for a romantic tour.

    A Graduate in Commerce, Sirsendu has completed his PGDBA from SCMS (School of Communication and Management Studies), Kochi, Kerala. He comes with 7 years of experience handling the functions of channel management, business development, client servicing, and marketing across sectors spanning FMCG, telecom and media. Sirsendu started his career innings with FMCG majors like Perfetti Van Melle India Pvt. Ltd & Hindustan Lever Ltd., before he moved on to work with telecom major Reliance Telecom Ltd. Sirsendu started his career in media with Star Den Media Services Pvt. Ltd in the function of channel distribution. Prior to joining BIG 92.7 FM he was with Reliance Big Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd.
