  • Indian born Hollywood filmmaker rocks Cannes

    MUMBAI: Nagendra Karri, a talented young man of Indian origin, is finally doing what he was meant to do. Karri is the maker of the psychological thriller ?Where are you Sophia?? which premieres at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival on 13 May. The film is officially getting screened at the Marche du Film Market at the festival.

    Says Karri, ?I am very excited and extremely honoured to be part of one of the most respected events of the international film fraternity. ?Where are you Sophia?? is my debut as a filmmaker and Cannes gives me a very strong platform to showcase it to the world.?

    Karri is not the only Indian component of ?Where are you Sophia??. The music of the film is by Raju Rao, who has worked on chartbusters from movies like Raaz, Saaya and Gunaah.

    ?Where are you Sophia?? is the true story of a local newspaper columnist from a rural town called Highlands where she mysteriously disappears and ends up meeting Charlie, a young handsome man from Jersey Shores. She takes him on a journey where he is introduced to the realms of the unknown which only he can unravel as he faces the mysterious forces in the evil town of Highlands.

    The movie produced by Karri?s production house Eternal Mind Productions features Amanda Boyd as Sophia and Peter James Elias as Charlie.

    MUMBAI: Building up to American Idol?s Season Eight Finale on 22 May, STAR WORLD presents an all-day Marathon Special of American Idol Season 8.

    On 16 May from 8am-4pm, STAR WORLD will air back-to-back episodes retracing the journey of one of Idol?s most popular contestants, Anoop Desai.

    Fans will be given a chance to revisit some of the 22-year-old?s most memorable Idol moments. From his winning Kansas City audition, to his surprise return during Wild Card week and his farewell performance, Desai has given Idol fans plenty to talk about.

    Although Anoop failed to make it to the end, STAR WORLD viewers will soon see who takes the Idol crown this year.

    As the two remaining finalists battle it out in their final showdown, fans can catch their make-or-break performances on STAR WORLD on Thu, 21 May at 9pm.

  • Fever 104 FM conquers Mumbai: No.1 in RAM

    MUMBAI: India‘s youngest and fastest growing FM channel, Fever 104 FM has gained the No. 1 position in Mumbai leaving behind all the other FM channels in the city. With a share of 16.9 per cent, Fever 104 FM has stamped its authority in the market, with the second and third players in the market being far behind. Even in terms of TSL, Fever 104 FM has surged ahead with a total time spent listening of 386 minutes which is only a validation of Fever‘s strong programming content and stickiness.

    In Delhi and Bangalore as well, Fever 104 FM has garnered great RAM results with an overall listenership share of 16.9 per cent in Bangalore and 17 per cent in Delhi.
