• Sherlyn Chopra gets candid with Subhash Lakotia on CNBC AWAAZ ?The Big M Show?

    Last night, Sherlyn Chopra, a singer, model and actress was evicted from the Big Boss house after being nominated against Vindu Dara Singh. Her early career was mainly in the B-grade films but lately she was seen in the prestigious Yash Raj Films ?Dil Bole Hadippa‘. She had been nominated four weeks in a row for being unable to interact with the other house-mates. After the announcement of her eviction, Sherlyn Chopra was given the opportunity to ask the other housemates why they nominated her, to which they unanimously said ?She had improved considerably and there was nothing wrong with her attitude but she was an easy target after her series of nominations?.

    Subhash Lakotia invited Sherlyn Chopra for a one-on-one interaction to discuss her experience of being on the popular show. He shared with her an analysis of her prominent characteristics and traits like being emotional and staying aloof at most occasions that she displayed while in the Big Boss house.   • P7 Presents Biggest Audience Choice Awards in Mumbai Film Festival

    MUMBAI: The Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) brings the 11th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival (MFF) scheduled to take place from October 29th to November 5th, 2009 in Mumbai, the film capital of India. This year MFF is introducing the Film Business Centre with an aim to provide a networking platform for the Indian distributors, producers, television channels and the foreign sales agents, festival directors and producers to enhance the international sales of Indian films.

    In order to celebrate the choice of the viewers, the instituted has introduced Audience Choice Award (ACA) from this year. The audience alone is the real judge of a film. The award will be called as P7 News Audience Choice Award. This year it?s a new introduction of a USD $20,000 (about Rs. 10, 00,000). Films from all sections except retrospective and tributes will compete for this award.

    Speaking about this award section Mr Jyoti Narain, Director, P 7 News Channel, said, ?We are always keen to provide what exactly our viewers want and by Audience Choice Awards we want audience to decide whom they feel eligible for the best award.   • Zee TV Conducts a Workshop to help Parents of Autistic Kids

    MUMBAI: Continuing its efforts on spreading awareness on Autism in India, Zee TV?s ?Aap Ki Antara? has partnered with Forum For Autism, an NGO that works with autistic kids. The two organisations came together to conduct workshop for the parents of the autistic kids in order to help them cope up with their kids? behaviour and thereby help them lead a normal life.

    The workshop on Friday, October 30th, at Dadar had an encouraging repsonse with over 350 parents attending the same. Merry Barua from ?Action For Autism? addressed the workshop while the 6years old Antara (Zynah Vastani) and her on-screen Dad, Darshan Pandya interacted with the parents at the workshop.

    ?Aap Ki Anatra? is a survival story of an autistic girl Antara. As a part of the show?s telecast the channel has launched a helpline for Autism queries from its viewers. Special videos of real-life parents of autistic kids have been telecast at the end of every episode to make the viewers aware of the symptoms and corrective measures on Autism. These noble initiatives by the channel have garnered a lot of queries and feedback on the show from across the country and abroad. A lot of couples have posted their heart-wrenching stories to the channel.
